Living from the Heart - The Heart is the New Brain

6-9pm Friday 24 April Evening Seminar

Venue: Fairway Lodge, 6 Argus Place, Takapuna

Look after your heart....while you can...

Mantak Chia, world Qi Gong master will be teaming up with Daniel Astinotti on 24 April 2009 to demonstrate the effect of the Taoist healing meditations on the heart’s health. Come and watch and experience for yourself how these techniques work. And then experience them for yourself. People are usually astounded by the immediacy of the results.

Mantak Chia will show how the healing exercises of the Universal Healing Tao can immediately relieve the effects of stress on the heart, protecting your health and extending your life-span.

Stress

Says Daniel Astinotti, "Chronic Stress is acknowledged by modern Medicine to be a major cause of health issues today. Some studies go as far as saying that up to 90% of all health problems are stress related !! When we are under chronic stress, our body is out of sync, meaning our most vital biological rhythms that keep us alive, such as our natural breath and heart rates, are deeply disturbed – with long term dire consequences, that most of the time we are not even fully aware of...until we get some unpleasant news from our doctor". (See full article further down page)

With the use of sophisticated bio-feedback equipment, Mantak Chia will demonstrate live on stage how practices such as the Inner Smile can reduce - within seconds - the debilitating effects of stress on the heart.

"Again and again, he uses western sciences to explain and prove that the energy exercises he teaches measurably affect the body, and that they are not just folklore or superstitious beliefs, but highly effective instruments for promoting physical and mental health and development".

Head Mind, Heart Mind, Abdominal Brain

According to scientific research, the human heart has a magnetic 5000 times stronger than the brain's magnetic field. Scientists have found that the heart is infact a mini-brain, with over 40,000 neurons. Scientists have also discovered that the heart has short and long-term memory, just like our brain, making it a very sophisticated system.

Five thousand years ago in ancient China, the Taoist masters already understood this. According to them we have three minds, and taught that our heart and abdomen are also brains in their own right. They knew that we could train ourselves to use these additional brains for better health.

When you learn the healing practices of the Universal Tao, you will train your heart and abdominal brains to take over some of the work from the head brain, which has many benefits including decreasing stress, developing intuition and conserving energy. These practices also improve immunity and quality of blood, replenish bone marrow, rejuvinate cells and tone the whole body.

In a nutshell, the practices of the Universal Tao give you a practical toolbox of techniques for taking a preventative approach to your health, so that you can avoid becoming ill and enjoy your life more.

"It's unbelievable!" says Gerhard H. Eggetsberger, biochemist and technical head of the Institute for applied Biocybernetics and Feedback Research in Vienna. "This man is able to change his electrical skin resistance in a split second from 60 Q up to 6080 Q and to lower it down again. We even know how he does it - through a kind of sympathetic reflex. This means that he can simply switch from the Nervus Vagus to the Nervus Sympaticus. An untrained body would never do this as completely as he does this. We are scientifically proving spiritual knowledge that is 6000 years old!..."

"Most of us are familiar with the saying "Our body is a temple" but have you ever thought about the inner body as a country? What kind of homeland would yours be? Would the heart be as peaceful as an isle off the mediteranean or as combatitive as a war-torn nation?..."
